A Safari extension to banish the Spectral font from Substack sites

If you like reading and use the internet, you probably click on a lot of Substack links. And if you're a stickler about typography, you probably hate how many of them use Spectral as their body font.

I don't dislike Spectral, per se. I just think it carries a bit too much character for such general-purpose use as Substack has deployed it. And I think it benefits from tighter tracking than its default, which Substack hasn't bothered to apply.

So I made Spectraless to replace Spectral with Georgia on Substack sites. Since many Substack newsletters use custom URLs and I didn't want to remove Spectral from the entire web, Spectraless detects whether the page loads anything from Substack's CDNs before making the replacement.
